That's a bit steep for that item and that's not insulation around it. I should know, I have the same one which I dragged out of a garbage skip.

I use mine as a HLT, removed the outter steel layer because it just makes the whole thing way to heavy.

With the lid cut off it really only fits 75lts.

you reallt think that something thats been used to hold cholrine tablets is good for brewing? the chlorine would have penatrated the plastic and would be nigh impossible to get rid of I would think.

"THEY PREVIOUSLY HELD CHLORINE TABS IN BAGS IN THE DRUMS SO THESE ARE AS NEW !!"

I'm guessing since the chlorine Tas was held in bags or whatever in the drums it should be fine...
Even if a small amount escaped from the bags into the container im sure after a thorough wash it should be ok...

yeah i read that. i still recon the smell of the chlorine will be stuck in the plastic. I of course could be wrong. the persons could also be meaning 'as new' to mean that they are in perfect structural condition. personally I wouldnt be going near them for brewing.

wouldn't use anything that's held chlorine tabs for a drink.

I store my grain in the 50/60L ones. They stank like chlorine when I got them, rinsed them, left them out in the sun/rain a few days, rinsed again then I couldn't smell chlorine at all.

Some nice stainless stuff and cool room here.. someone might find useful.
Now THAT is a heat exchanger.
