works well as a hlt. got one myself of these.
depending on the controller you use it may get up there. mine wont boil but then again it doesnt go above 100 when setting it.

Just picked up a 46 litre one from an AHB member that was shorting. Fixed it up to use as a HLT but considering it as a kettle to free up the stove and wondering about wort scorching.

(EDIT: The urn was shorting, not the member)

I've got one like this. It's ~50L and fine for BIAB brewing. I've put quite a few batches through mine.

Not for the faint-hearted though, some of the mains connections in the bottom are just bare screw terminals.
