If you don't have access to a Randal, how about dropping a hop pellet or two into the glass when drinking the beer?

Just a thought :icon_cheers:

i'm sure i'm not the only one guilty of throwing a couple of pellets into a glass of beer on brew day, hell i even tryed amarillo in a cider...came out good too :)

I've heard that some Yank Brewpubs will serve beer garnished with a dried hop flower (I'd assume it's fresh hops) to accentuate the hops.

Why not?

I true home brew filter is your front teeth!

I can see how Saturday is going to go. :( :chug: :super:

Stu
a bit OT
But theres a UNIBROUE Terrible and a Murrays Grand Cru lined up so far, I'm on the look out out for any other suitably over the top beers. See you then

NO NO NO. Thats a bad idea. I bought a case of Amstel or something like that, a pretty plain type of lager and dropped a couple of pellets of 24 diff. varieties and re-capped em.
Waste of a case of beer if u ask me, as most of the hops settled out it was hard to keep them out of your glass.
Depends if u like chewing hops?

Steve

I'll bring along my Rye IPA. Nothing as far over the top as those beers, but might make a suitable entre. :icon_cheers:

Actually, I agree with Steve. When I've made a hop tea from a couple of pellets of a new variety to have an idea of what it's like, the hops spread through the whole cup. Smells great, but drinking it. <_<

I've been known to add one or two drops of isomerised hop extract to "spice" up a glass of underhopped beer.

Makes the beer really cloudy, but it does the trick.
