Just spotted this post on Crafty Pint.

There is finally an Industry group for Craft Brewers.

Interesting reading. It also mentions that they are welcoming Homebrewers as Associate Members. I see this as a great step forward. As a whole, all members and associate members should be able to use there might to help Craft Brewing in Australia.

Your thoughts?

It sucks that lobby groups exist at all, but given that they do it's a great idea for craft beer to have one.

$150 for a non member(home brewer)

hmmm what do you get as member?
The membership gets quite steep as you brew more considering that
"For the association to be successful the membership base must be representative of the whole industry, and each member must have an equal voice regardless of their size (one member = one vote)."

so as a homebrewer I could have as much say as a National Craftbrewer brewing 15-25 Million litres PA! Unless with an Individual Mebership
I dont get a vote. Seems a bit rich.
