Hello fellow slurpers,
I just put down a can of Coopers Draught, bE2, and after mixing and pitching the yeast
I noticed the yeast had a different, darker colour.
Yeast pack date 11909, so it is very fresh.
Anyway it did not act like the normal yeast, as it was pitched at about 22, and took almost 18 hrs to get going. Then burped along steadily, not going crazy like Coopers
yeasts used to do. Usually I do a brew around 7 am, and it is off and running by 3pm that day. That's about 8 hours.
It also formed a really good 'rocky head', which it never used to.
Has anyone noticed anything different with the latest Coopers ale yeast??
cheers
BB
