Grain and grape sell rubber and silicone bungs under wine making equipment.

bit off topic
I use a rubber bung with 1/2" stainless tube pushed through for a spear. next to this is a short stainless 8mm gas post with JG fitting. this setup allowed me to use gas to push the beer out. only problem is the bung pops out and has to be held in or use gas to start a siphon then disconnect.
sometimes this can be a pain in the ring.

However I have found a vacuum pump and done a trial transfer by connecting keg liquid out disconnect to to demijohn speer then apply vacuum to gas out post on keg. worked well with water next week or so will test with beer. I am also planning on trying with wort to conical

I suspect I might have got the topic title wrong

sweet! thanks for the tips! Might see how much shipping is as they seem a ton cheaper off ebay USA.

Malted - simply awesome - OT - how much clearance is there between the center shaft of your brau and the sleeves in the filter plates? I tried to make something to slide for my plates, but was scared of chanelling coming up through the gaps and went for <1mm clearance. It now doesn't slide as nicely as I would like.
