Hey guys,

Can I carbonate my mead with coopers drops? I realise you can use honey or table sugar, but I don't have champagne bottles or a corker so was just gonna use bottle caps and put a carbonation drop in.
The OG was 1.142, and the FG is 1.033, making a ABV of 14.33%, with Lavlin 47 wine yeast, which has a ABV tolerance of 14%.

Cheers,
Luke

Provided the yeast is still viable, than it will be no problem. I tried to carbonate my JAOM, but as per the recipe I'd pushed the yeast too far. This just left me with a slightly sweeter flat wine.
Give it a go.

Cheers,
RB.
