Capping PET bottles.

Hi brewers
When capping PET bottles do you just screw them on finger tight or do they require more pressure?

I would say good hand tightness. Not too tight youre going to strip the thread. Use the tightness of undoing a soft drink bottle as a guide.

I tighten them pretty snug. I find they tighten as they pressurize. I've had to use slip-joint pliers to get them off before. Usually takes at least a dish cloth.

I've had a couple lately that weren't very tight when I opened them, I thought I may be weakening. That's interesting about the pressurizing.
