Neo, I'm sorry to hear that & I hope somehow everything will be ok. Our prayers are with you & your family.

Neo, hope you have had some good news.

Installed my tap on Xmas day and no leaks, the shank came with a broken flange so going to have to try and get a new one, had a spare but it's small.

Thought the adjuster would be open down rather than up.

Beer line is still as long as ever but might trim it down at some point.

My wife purchased me 2 for Christmas and I have 1 that drips a dozen times and the other maybe 1 or 2 drips. I have not had time to pull apart yet. Any tips?

lube and re-seat the forward seal (accessible via the handle).

When you guys talk about a leak. Is it immediately after you close the tap? Or a drip after the initial run off after tap closing?

my taps never leaked. they just werent sealing quite as snappy as i'd have liked, meaning you got a bit more drip post shutoff than a forward sealing tap should.

2 way fix :

1: Lube as described above.

2: Once the pour is done, close the tap, then wind down the flow control to minimum, then engage the tap again. You will get a small trickle, then it stops. Return tap to off, and no more drips.

Do you guys find the flow control affects the beer head?
I'm running the dregs of my Cream Ale through my new 650ss but am finding the head on the beer disappears really quickly. I only have 1m of line from keg to tap & flow restriction is on pretty hard as it will be all foam at full open throttle with 75kpa in the keg & such a short beer line.
The kegs about to blow so maybe that's the reason but it's kinda like squirting coke into a glass instead of full stream pouring. Your bound to get flat coke right!
The pour from the Perlick even wound down is still pretty clean with the odd gurgle. Thoughts?

keep flow low and move the glass up and down to assist. If it wasn't a FC and you were that low, it'd probably just be pouring ice-creams anyways :)

edit- only other thing i can think is if your serving pressure has been low for a while, the CO2 will come out of the solution. Leads to burps of CO2 and flatter beer.
