Bottle Cleaning Method

A quick rinse after emptying does the job for me most of the time. Any I get given I'm normally a bit suspicious of but you can normally see anything in the bottle that's likely to cause problems. I always hold each bottle up to light & look for anything that may be stuck on the bottom of the bottle prior to satitisation, bottles with anything on the bottom get sod perc treatment. I leave them to soak for 24 hours, give them a shake & most of them come good. I've got a stubby & a longneck bottle brush, haven't used either for months.

Someone said that after rinsing they should be left upside down to dry, apparently if some water dries inside it can be a good hiding spot for bacteria. I don't know if that's fair dinkum or not but it's no more effort for me to stick them upside down in a milk crate after rinsing.

The bag of sod perc I got says 10g/L. Not sure about napisan though.
 
Bottles into the dishwasher no soap...hot glass wash works a treat...no sanitizing water over 70c kills everything anyways... 15 batches down not one infection...!
