trying out the capper before putting beer in the bottle, when the cap has been fitted it comes off very easy, twists off? is it ok
i'm sure i got caps that suit screw tops as well. it is water tight though, no water comes out

What kind of capper are you using? I've found with mine, bench top capper, to have the cap 'bell' (the bit that bends the cap around the neck of the bottle) just above the bottle, and then make sure to pull the handle down past 90 degrees. Seems a bit scarey at first, but I've never broken a bottle. I'm sure someone will have though ;-)

I've been using crown seals (caps) on twist top bottles for years now without issue. Like what Cosmic Bertie says, have the capping bell just above the bottle + cap (assuming you have a bench capper). You should be able to just slide the bottle under with the cap on. Pull down steady but firmly and you should be fine.

The caps should be able to twist off with a reasonable amount of force. The amount of force can vary slightly when the bottle + cap is cold and with pressure.

yeah using a bench capper, will adjust and see what happens
cheers

Whatever you do dont use a Warwick Capper , it might make it a tight fit but itll make your beer taste like Passion Pop ;)
