Was wondering if anyone has added water after or during fermentation. I feeled up a fermenter to much and it exploded a tiny bit. In the gfs dads excitement he took out a few litres of beer. It's a 6% beer and I was wondering if I could still dilute it now.

You are adding a small amount of oxygen post fermentation to the beer, so it wont age as well as if you didn't. But saying that I have diluted beer down (2-3 ltrs in a 25ltr brew) a few times and didn't see any noticeable difference to the beer but I wasn't aging it.

It would be better to do it at the start of fermentation and I would also boil it just in case there is something hanging out in the water.

if you could de-oxygenate your water, sure. Boiling will remove most of the o2 but there will still be about 5ppm left behind which is enough to start oxidising the beer.
BTW. Admitting to "feeling up" your fermenter will earn you a reputation.

Your fermenter needs to learn some control. At least you know how fond of you it is though. :D

boil water transfer to a keg hot then hook up to nitrogen till it cools.
co2 wont cut it.

I would have thought of some risk in this, adding oxygen, spoiling the brew. Why not dilute when drinking it, ie pour a bit of low alcohol into your glass as you go and those who don't mind can drink it straight.
Cheers

Boiled a jug gonna put it straight in the fermenter when it cools down. So the yeast can use the remaining oxygen up. So no spoilage
