I'd never realised that beer came in cans like that

Screw bottles! - "Aluminium Softops" are the way to go!

The guy that invented the ring pull took forever to get the design right apparently...

I remember the old ones where it had the hole just behind the ring pull - so the fluid came out quicker because air could get in better :)
 
Remember the push-in hole cans? One large hole for drinking and one small for the breather? They came after the ring-pull but before the lever-in tops like we have now.
