I have only crushed 5 batches through my BC. The o ring is still inplace but looking like it will only last another batch or two. I did try adding some water to the grain for one batch but all this did was clog up the knurling and make a hell of a mess.
I run the grain through twice on the factory settings and this has increased my efficiency from low 60s to high 70s. Running through twice seems to ensure that every grain gets crushed at least once. Will monitor the o ring this week end as I intend to put down 3 brews this weekend.

I thought it was a problem only with my homemade mill but it seems everyone has a similar problem

What i use to pasively drive the second roller is o rings from a bearing shop, there cheap and last about 50kg of grain
