Baltika And Obolon At Murphys

Just back from Dan Murphys. They've got the Baltika and Obolon range in. Baltika in particular is interesting. There's a 5.6% dark lager (Baltika 4) and a Hefeweizen (Baltika 8). Baltika 3 is a 'Premium' lager. As is the Obolon from the Ukraine which has a premium and regular which are the same ABV and price.

Might test 'em one by one and give my thoughts. The Hefe in particular should be interesting. ;-)

Baltika is $4.40 per 500ml and the Obolon is a steal at $2.80 per 500ml bottle. Oddly enough some of the Baltika labels were in Russian and some were in English. Go figure.

Not expecting much but who knows. :lol:

Had the 3 and the 4. Must say they werent half bad!. If i remember correctly, i liked the 4 better, but they were both pretty good. Wish saw the 8, i would've given it a go.
