Brisbane Amateur Beer Brewers (BABBs) monthly meeting will be held Thursday May 28, 2009 at Lynndon Bowls Club, Galsworthy Street, Holland Park, Qld. Arrive 7:30pm for an 8:00pm start.

Entry fee of $6.00 covers hall hire & snacks.

Visitors are always welcome. Bring along a few tallies to share and compare.

Mini Comp No. 3:
Dark Ale. At time of entry, beer must be nominated into BABB's beer classes;

* 5a (Mild)
* 5b (Northern English Brown Ale)
* 5c (Australian Dark Ale)
* 5d (Old Ale)

Remember you can now enter two beers into the mini-comp but must identify only one to score points at the time of entry. Mini-comp entry is restricted to BABBs members.

Quick Bump....

Meeting is tonight - Look forward to seeing some new faces for what should be a great night :icon_chickcheers:

Please make sure you bring a few bottles of your own creations, or if non available, some interesting commercial offerings.

Cheers Ross

Red, brown... brett, saccharomyces... close enough :D

Let me add that was probably the best mini comp Ive judged so far, some outstanding beers :beerbang:

How 'Bout staging a BABBs RoadTrip... South Burnett would be first on the list I assume.... -_-

Am working on making it to some meetings in the coming months... Miss all you guys!

Cheers

Another excellent night & great to see so many new faces... Next months mini comp being porters & stouts should be a ripper as well.

Don't forget that entries (max 2) for the Australian Pale Ale competition are due in next meeting - The winner will be brewing their recipe commercially at Mt Brewery & looks like we'll see it on tap at the Platform Bar in Brizzy - Would love to win this one B)

Cheers Ross

Ross, you say max 2 for the Australian pale, does that mean I can put in two versions?

YES - 2 different beers are allowed per member

cheers Ross

Cheers, IGA's open in five minutes, off to get some polenta, bakers yeast, treacle and palm sugar right now
