The Online Users list is ordered by the most recently active.
Generally you will be the first name as you were the last to do something. When multiple users click on topics at the same time you can end up at number four or so.
If you click on the "forums" link at the top of the page, then go all the way to the bottom of the page where "Board Statistics" are you will see all the online members there.
Hover over them and you will see the times people last did something on the board. After 15 mins you drop off the list.

Hope that helps.

How does yahoo.com have a name on these forums? Is this a web spider that is allowed to catalogue these Q & A's?

All the search engines index AHB.
The forum is configured so that they only represent a single active ID each, otherwise the concurrent users online for anonymous goes mental. They don't actually have real accounts.
You will quite often see Yahoo, Google, MSN, AskJeeves etc.
