Not sure how this got into my head (possibly due to me entering my first comp in a few weeks) but was curious as to whether anyone has seen or experienced or even done it themselves? Does anyone have any stories of someone entering a commercial beer as their own, for instance?

A guy I trained told me about winning a college homebrew comp at UQ by taking the label off a tallie and entering it as his own. Good old XXXX bitter! I'm not sure if he even went to the trouble of putting a new cap on it. Says a lot about the other entries in the comp, or the tastes of the judges!

Cheers,
RB

Clean nose, some hop aroma (Cluster?); brilliant white head collapses quickly; clear, bright; effervescent; bitterness low; balanced overall; light mouthfeel, effervescent, clean palate. Good effort, no major flaws, could use more malt 37/50
