made my brew on the 5th sept hydrometer reading 1040. its now been 7 days and its reading 1030 at the bottom of the black line.its bubbling away ..slowely now (painfully). It still looks cloudy as and smells too yeasty. Temps have been reading daily from 18 to 22 degrees. Im assuming it still needs lots more time. This is my first ever attempt and everything was sterilized using the kit. Does all this sound correct?? Thanks everyone

I'm guessing you didn't mean to start an article for this.

You are correct - needs more time. Stay patient, keep temps where they are and rely on gravity reading rather than bubbles.

All the questions we asked (or before AHB, the mistakes we made and then went to the library to figure out).

At the top should be "search the forums before asking the question as you might upset some people by asking a question that has been asked many times before".
