I'm visiting Adelaide soon and looking for recommendations for good bars/pubs to visit. Any hints?

Thanks in advance

Check out Brew Boys on Regency rd. at Regency Park top beer made by top blokes

The Lighthouse Hotel at Port Adelaide brew a few beverages. Port Adelaide is a good tourist spot and is worth a look with all of the old buildings etc. Don't go to the fisherman's wharf market, it is ********* and nothing to do with seafood, just over priced junk. I reccommend sampling a few of the brews at the Lighthouse Hotel. I am quite fond of their alcoholic root beer.
There is also a maritime museum, dolphin watching cruises and a seahorse farm at the Port.

Wednesday night at the Wheaty if you can make it - you might even stumble into Jayse, Hatchy or some other local brewers!

You will also more then likely run into myself and hatchy at brewboys come on down.

Not sure about spruiking the lighthouse as good beer but each to their own, if you want to pay for average kit/extracty beers then hey whatever blows your skirt up. Although the quailtity is better then the port dock ATM but its by no means a beer destination.

+1 for the wheaty and brewboys.

Also the Kings Head (King William Street) focusses on South Austrlaian produce, and has tried to give a comprehensive offering of South Australian only made beers, if this is of interest.

Interesting. You qualified your observation with a reasonable sounding explanation.
I will have to stop in at Brewboys some time!

Thanks for all the suggestions - sounds like there's some decent options so looking forward to it!
