hey guys,

Anyone got a calculator that shows the ABV added for a certain amount of priming sugar per litre volume?

I use dextrose to bulk prime and wanted to get an idea of how much alcohol this adds after bottle conditioning.

I already can calculate abv from OG and FG, but this priming sugar abv calculation seems to be eluding me.

Its the same calculation, just add it to the amount for the brew.
Say you added 200g of Dextrose, Dextrose is 91% fermentable, 200*0.91=182g of fermentable, 100g of fermentable makes 48.8g of alcohol (and 46.8g of CO2) so 182*48.8=88.8g of alcohol.
You need the volume of beer say 21L, you have added 88.8g of alcohol so 88.8g in 21L or 4.23g/L, that's roughly 0.423%W/V, to get from WV to V/V (from 1%ABW = 1.267%ABV) 0.423*1.267=0.536%
Roughly, mostly finger counting and from memory had to look up the ABW>ABV not something that I use often.
Hope I haven't dropped any decimal points.
Mark
