I missed this in the news the other day.
23-metre snake of thousands of beer cups on a lap of the ground at the 20/20 cricket at Nth Sydney Oval.
Stoy here

I did something a little similar as a kid at Adelaide in the early 80's

When greg Chappell was in the middle of his now famous run of ducks, myself and about a dozen other kids got plastic beer cups, and poked them through the cyclone mesh fence to spell "Greg Chappell", and then they formed a picture of a duck.

It made the telecast (so my old man said)

(Chappell duly made a duck!)

The cops were throwing guys out of the SCG on the first day of the Test for even daring to attempt something like that.

The attempt fell a bit short though seeing all that was available on tap was Cascade Light :p

I (and a few mates) contributed a good 10 or so cups to that super snake!! :beerbang:
i tell you what though the cricket was QUICK... be sure to go with a few mates atleast, so that you arent going for shouts too often.
2 shouts and toilet stop.... and it was OVER.!
(carlton draft tastes like gravy by the way... seriously)

Sounds like my throwing ice cubes at Richard Hadlee in the outfield at the MCG pales in comparison.

Here's a blast from the past;

HADLEE IS ******!
HADLEE IS ******!
HADLEE IS ******!
HADLEE IS ******!
HADLEE IS ******!

 Warren -

I wouldn't have admitted to such lame activities Warren, couldn't you think of something a little smarter or even slightly humourous?

Edit: e.g cheering for South Africa as Pietersen batted and when he fielded at the boundary on the last day of the ashes. Or making a big beer snake.
