    KegLand Questions and Answers

Everyone is chasing the same old Ventmatic design here. There are many ways to open and close flow of a valve. Rotary concept is more in line with how all modern plumbing fixtures work. 1. Greater thermal mass also means they stay at temperature longer. So when cooled, they stay cool longer...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

You guys can keep tweaking the Intertap/Ventmatic type design, but IMO, the market needs more attention to rotary designs. Inherently less complicated, less parts, potentially easier to tear down and clean. Flow control components completely separated from valve components. Trupour's ROTOtap is...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

As far as Kegland have explained, this is one of the main (if not THE main) reasons for the Gen2. Gen1 has restriction even when fully opened. Gen2 supposed to be more comparable to standard disconnect flow when open.

Can you share any photos of the G2 Flow Control Disconnect if there will be any appreciable difference externally to the older ones? And are you still on track for having them available toward the end of this month?

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Any news on G2 Flow Control Disconnects? I noticed stock dried up months ago everywhere on the originals. They just popped back in stock at Williams in the US, but the G2 sound like a better option, even if my new lines are all 1/4" ID.

    Brewtools

Looks like the wait (for ordering) is over, even if you have to wait a couple of months to brew. Newera Brewing are now taking pre-orders and offering special pricing on an accessory pack including counterflow chiller, extra 3-way valve, extra temp sensor and fittings. Shipping in December...

    Brewtools

I believe they’ve already got a deal figured for Australia. They mentioned they’d be announcing details about availability “soon.” At the moment they’ve received and are shipping new stock to other international buyers. UK, USA, Germany etc. This month they’re also supposed to launch a hood...

    Male / Female Quick Disconnects

That last photo shows a rigid tubing incorrectly slipped over barbed fittings (neither were designed for the other). Replace those fittings with push-fit on the shank and QD ends. As for the gas-side, if you want something easily removable, just attach a gas ball-lock post (as has been...

    Improving fresh wort kits

Yeast stains, sugars, hops & spices, depending on the base wort & the target style. Also mixing of worts if you know what's in them. You should go a wide search to see if anyone has come up with "hacks" for the worts you're interested in. I've found a number of charts for other brands over the...

    DIY Kegmenter

It's their current design, introduced summer 2017 - they sell out quickly, though they're regularly back in stock. You can make "something" similar with other parts, but you can't make the "same thing" unless you also custom-mill your own fittings - that's what makes this iteration the best...

    DIY Kegmenter

IMO, currently the best TC adapter for fermenting in a commercial keg is from Brewhardware. https://www.brewhardware.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SankeFermenterKit_pressure No cutting/mods to the keg - keep a nice sanitary vessel/connection. This adapter has less parts than rolling your...

New KegLand - Multi/Universal Ball Lock Keg Post - WIN FREE STUFF

like you, I have zero use for a multi post to fit onto a keg. On the other hand, a multi-post with a back-end threaded in a more common format could have a lot of uses. MFL, NPT, BSP, etc.

New KegLand - Multi/Universal Ball Lock Keg Post - WIN FREE STUFF

Yes, you have to flip/move the keg. What I should have said was that the business hardware can be the same as used for CIP on an object that remains truly stationary. The easiest semi-automated keg cleaning process for a home brewer is a spray ball and recirculating pump that can be dropped...

New KegLand - Multi/Universal Ball Lock Keg Post - WIN FREE STUFF

So do mine (they're all stainless too), but they don't fit as well with one disconnect as they do with the other. CIP works well/fine on a corny if you pump/blast water up the center (without the lid on) with a ball and pump water up both posts, draining back out the center lid. See SS...

    Cleaning And Sterilising

This is the #1 reason any type of chlorine product is unsuitable for a brewing or food production environment. And this is #2. If you're rinsing with any water, hot or cold, you're no longer in a sanitized state. No matter how clean your water, it's not free of all microbes. And hot water, if...
