    Russian Imperial Stout Maturing Time

I would mature in the bottle mate, for at least 6 months to 1 year. Iv'e just made 20L batch with OG SG 1.104, and it got to 1.023 just using one packet US05, fermemted at approx 20 C.

    Motorising A Mill

but, once you add up the cost of the mill $$$, motor $$$ and someone to weld stand with hopper including materials (i cant weld), it adds up, but you have a bit 'o' bling!

    Motorising A Mill

    12' and 2' pulley wheel should cost about $ 60, 'V' belt about $5.

    Motorising A Mill

you need to make sure that the centre of the pulley is an exact fit to the keys on motor and mill - with the keysteel locking wheels onto their respective keys or the process is a waste of time. 1st Attempt At Filtering With Problems

and another thing, everyone seems paranoid about O2 ingress whilst filtering, for f@@@s sake your 'home brewers'if you dont have a jacketed conical fermentor (that can hold bars worth of pressure) who gives a rats. The beer is'nt going to sit on a shelf in a supermarket 1000km away 5 months...

1st Attempt At Filtering With Problems

It should take you about 15 minutes to filter 19L 'clean beer', longer than that (and with bubbles in filter out) means catridge is blocked (providing the beer that you are filtering is sufficiently higher than the corny you re going into to allow adequate head pressure for the system to work...
