    FS: Melbourne Keg Frige setup

Jaypas, the price is realistic as I need it gone and the VB was a left over from a party on Saturday night. Really!!! Yob, the connections are push on/quick connects if I remember. Wormalds in Notting Hill have been good to me since I got it from them originally.

    FS: Melbourne Keg Frige setup

Need to sell my keg fridge setup. Been a faithful companion for a couple of years but now we have to go our own ways. :( Fridge runs perfectly. 700d x 680w x 1450h. No freezer. Easily holds 2 kegs plus lots and lots of bottles. Plenty of shelving included. 2 x 19l kegs Micromatic regulator...

    Honey Wheat Beer

Ahhh, honey wheat beer. Yum. Since trying a kit that replicated a Beez Neez I've tried a few of my own recepies to ever inproving degrees. My latest is the best yet IMHO. Farmland Lager Wheat Malt Extract 1kg Pride of Ringwood Hops teabag @10min Capilano Honey 750gms Muntons Premium Yeast...

    Micro Matic Gauge Variances

It is, but I figure its going to move because of the gas density or something. Its the other one that I'm questioning and why it shows the different hot/cold readings as described above.

    Micro Matic Gauge Variances

Because of space restrictions I have my fire extinguisher Co2 cylinder in the fridge and the gauges have been set to the desired levels in that environment. Whilst cleaning the fridge the other day I removed the extinguisher and noted that as the cylinder and gas adjusted to room temperature the...

    Kegging Coke & Whisky

Sammus Sorry, I meant 11 psi or 110 kpa. Are you suggesting a faster flow rate through the tap to keep the carbonation up. I've got Celli taps so adjusting the flow is easy. Unfortunately I didn't play to much with this last night but perhaps it works in reverse to pouring a good beer.

    Kegging Coke & Whisky

Last night we tried kegging coke and whisky with a reasonable amount of success. Purchased 4 litres of coke and a bottle of Johnnie Walker Red, poured into a keg, put gas on at 11kpa and dispensed. The result was drinkable but a bit flat to look at but the taste suggested some carbonation was...

    Kegging Setups

deckedoutdaz In response to your extinguisher question, yes its co2. All co2 is the same, there is no difference from food use to fire extinguisher. Only difference with the extinguisher is the dip tube is removed so only the gas is released not the liquid co2. Hope this helps. ;)

    Kegging Setups

Ross Thanks for the compliment. Will contact you soon for more bits and pieces. etbandit So far no problems noticed but its only been in for a week. Lack of space outside the fridge dictated its position. Can fit 2 kegs and extinguisher so being in the fridge isn't a space problem. Will keep...

    Kegging Setups

I must say that getting into this kegging caper can drive a man to drink. Researching, talking, planning, phoning, buying, picking up, checking, brewing, putting together and finally pulling the first of many beers. The photo's show the end result but I list what's been acquired for anyone...

    Beer Pouring Heaven

Browndog, I like you have just installed the Celli taps but for me these were the final pieces to my kegging parts gathering journey. This afternoon, I pulled my very first beers from the new set up and unlike a lot of other newby's I had success first up. I kid you not. No foaming. No...

    Dead Fridge

Well, the research is complete. Talk about being stiff. After talking to a couple of repairers I turned the fridge back on for half an hour. Compressor ran but no coldness. Turned it off only to hear what sounded like leaking gas from behind the chiller plate on the inside of the fridge. Pulled...

    Dead Fridge

Thanks for the input. The problem does not appear to be the thermostat but I have called in the professionals to rectify. Will cetainly be getting a fridge mate when I'm back up and running. Happy brewing.

    Dead Fridge

Over the past couple of months I've been scrounging parts to get into kegging but yesterday my $60 ebay fridge that's worked fine for three months suddenly decided it wanted to reach polar conditions so I turned it off. This morning, after turning it back on I discover the compressor or...

    Taps And Beer Line

I've read the reply's and looked at the options and will check out Ross's taps more closely. The micro matic looks good for the price but the Shirron looks the goods. As for line length, I'll play with the 5mm line to get things going smoothly. Thanks for the assistance.

    Taps And Beer Line

The look of the Celli or micromatic taps would suit my needs as I'm more interested in buying once only. I'm still confused about line length. Kingy suggest 4.0m of 6mm line, so how is it that Brewcraft in Oakleigh can get 6mm to work with only 900mm. Does it come down to pouring pressure, line...

    Taps And Beer Line

Ok, this is my first post so please be gentle. I've been bottling for twelve months but have now purchased three post mix kegs and a regulator over the past couple of months and am getting ready first my first kegging experience, but I am yet to buy the beer line or tap. I have two questions...
