Is there no pure recipe database with ratings anymore?

I can't find it. Is it no longer a part of the AHB forums, if so I miss it?.

    Wyeast Propagator Manufacture Date

Sorry! After i looked at the pack in the fridge I wrote it down as 2/3/2011. An hour or so later (late at night) when I came to use the date in Mr Malty the date issue came to mind. Since your post i took a look again at the pack and sure enough it read 2nd March, 2011. Apologies for revving...

    Wyeast Propagator Manufacture Date

Hi All, Just a quick one! Using my first Wyeast propagator pack. Are the manufactured dates shown on Wyeast yeast packs sold in Australia based on the US dating system, or do those sold in Oz use a non-US dating standard. My yeast pack shows 3/2/11. Do I need to treat it as 2/3/11 for OZ...

Bernzomatic Oxygen Cylinder & Rotamer Flow Control

Hi, Does any one here have personal experience with the above arrangement for wort O2 infusion?. If you do, I would like to here from you to get your guidance and learn about best practice for a first time set up. Thank You dalpets

    Oxygen/equipment Availabilty

The tank, probably, but maybe you would have to be a licensed diver to hire/buy one. Not sure on that. Yep. I use an AP (2 speed) with two outputs & two airstones from Craftbrewer. I made up my own in-line air filters with half and half very fine powdered carbon from a scuba dive centre &...

    Oxygen/equipment Availabilty

The regulator is currently available in the US at http://www.hoptech.com It doesn't come up automatially on the site. Use their search facility to bring it up. Type in 'regulator'. Cheers dalpets

    Oxygen/equipment Availabilty

I emailed Gryphon today and received the following reply. "My supplier in the US can not get the regulator part any more so they are trying to source from another supplier but have not had any luck yet. So I cannot give you a time frame" cheer dalpets

    Oxygen/equipment Availabilty

Thanks proudscum . Actually I have been using that method up until now with 2 airstones & a pump. I hate the foaming that's why I want to move to O2. When I purchased them some time ago Craftbrewer was significantly cheaper. cheers dalpets

    Oxygen/equipment Availabilty

Thanks beerhog, that's a great help. Do you do visually measure the flow rate with an inline flow meter or just from experience?. Cheers dalpets

    Oxygen/equipment Availabilty

Hi All, Been trying to track down local or national suppliers here in Adelaide. Haven't had any luck to this point in time. I am aware that medical grade oxygen is only available on the authorization of a medical practitioner, so that grade is out. Welding grade seems to be the only option...

    E-herms Power Requirements Question

I don't know if ths helps, I'm not on 3 phase, only single phase, 10 amp , but I measured the current draw of my new Hermes rig recently & my heat exchanger was drawing approx 7 amps (heater rated at 2200 watts) & my March pump 2 amps. So I'm pretty close to the max. Our toaster draws approx...

Carbonating Bottle Beer Without A Keg Or Priming

Thanks for that, Hatchy. Wayne at Beerbelly would be my go to man. I guess I'm having a two way bet in wanting to be able to do both (bottle & keg) ie., to keep the fridge partly free. At the end of the day, I guess, I need to make a decision to go one way or the other, which makes the most...

Carbonating Bottle Beer Without A Keg Or Priming

I agree, hatchy, everything points to my suggestions as being unwieldy (as they say keep it simple stupid!). I guess it was my new brewer over enthusiasm. I've got the picture now & would like to go to a kegging system, but I don't really want to pay $800 for it at this time. In any event I...

Carbonating Bottle Beer Without A Keg Or Priming

For those who want to use the Sodastream as it was intended to be used (not for beer carbonation) there are 20 or so consumer reviews at the following link. There is also a youtube video review online.. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews6075.html

Carbonating Bottle Beer Without A Keg Or Priming

Seems like the Sodastream adaption has been well covered in this 2008 AHB thread. http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...showtopic=28098

Carbonating Bottle Beer Without A Keg Or Priming

Given that a keg is a closed system how would forced carbing work for an open bottle?. Also, does a formula exist for carbing a bottle ie.,that mimics the priming or kegging levels of CO2?. You also seem to be saying, contrary to a couple of other views in this thread, that a keg is not...
