    website deals of the day

Yeh I thought that too but decided to order one anyway and check out the accuracy myself. I first stumbled across it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9g6oMsbahs and it appears to be quite accurate. I'll let you know how accurate it is when I get mine.

    website deals of the day

Not sure if this is the right section to put this in so admin please move if not. I stumbled across a water flow meter that is cheap and easy to use. I have purchased one for my brewery and thought others may like/need one as well. I have no affiliation with the company I just think its a good...

Gumtree 40L Stainless Pot - Melb

I'm not sure jlkelly19 but it feels just a bit thicker than a Big W pot. If you are really concerned about thickness, I'm going to sell a pot that I originally bought to do brew in a bag. I've now changed my mind and decided to go 1V system so I don't need the BIAB pot any more. (It didn't fit...

Gumtree 40L Stainless Pot - Melb

Just thought someone may be interested in this. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/cranbourne-east/pots-pans/40l-noodle-pot/1080066066 I bought one off the seller and it's great. The one I got though doesn't have the divider in it and I'm going to use it as the malt pipe in my 1V system.

    Vic 2015 Xmas Case Swap

Looks like this is going to be an awesome brew day! Unfortunately I can't make it this year due to family commitments which is a bummer. I hope you all have a great time. I just got off the phone with Micbrew and he mentioned there may be room on the cubists list for me. I went back through...

    Killing yeast in cider

I stumbled across this thread today and will be reading it over the next couple of days. It is 124 pages long so a lot to take in. http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=193295 I will be moving on to crushing my own fruit in the near future and also trying to buy freshly squeezed juice...

    Killing yeast in cider

I would really like to use glass bottles as I am giving them as gifts. The actual bottles I'm using are old glass crown seal Coca Cola bottles. I'll look into the potassium sorbate. Thanks guys.

    Killing yeast in cider

Thanks for the reply Tim T. You have hit the nail on the head with the lack of fruitiness. I tasted it yesterday and compared to a sample I put into a PET bottle before I heated the keg it has lost quite a bit of the fruit taste. It's still not a bad drop but it just isn't as good as it could...

    Killing yeast in cider

After reading threads on cider making for hours I still cant seem to find an answer to my question. What I want to do is make apple and pear cider and give it away in stubbies. The problem I have is that I want it to be a sweet carbonated cider but not a bottle bomb. In order to achieve this I...

Vic. July 2015 Case Swap Tasting Thread

You would all know by now that I'm no beer judge and know bugger all about styles. One thing I do know is what I like which brings me to MoFox's beer, the first I tried. This is one of the best beers I have tried since starting to brew! For me the colour was great, very dark with just a hint...

2015 Vic Christmas in July Case Swap

I too have already bottled my swap beer. Did it about 3 weeks ago. It's a Dark Porter. I don't have the time to brew again for the swap so would it be OK to wrap tightly in gladwrap as Yob suggested?
