    The 5l of Perry I made tastes absolutly RANK!!!! I know I put too much yeast in but would it have so much of bad effect it would make me near sick tasting it and make me throw it away!>?

    Tasting it here and its not tasting very sour. ITs a canadian blonde but i do get a tint of an after taste. Its just not in your face sour or nothing too obvious for me to tell (newbie brewer)

    Funny saying that because I have recently just gave up drinking (ironically) and now I need to test it! lol Will it be a very obvious and distinct taste that a brew has been ruined due to temperature?

    Yea there was alot of yeast put into it but it has only been a week tomorrow its been in there. Dont want to risk taking it out just yet. Was just going to leave it two weeks maybe and take a reading then. Will it do any harm in the jar all fermentation has taken place?

    Just rechecked the Pear Juice and states No Preservatives, No Artificial Colours, No Artificial Flavours, which is why I think I might have put too much yeast in. There is some stuff forming on the bottom like beer, but just seeing no action. Could just be missing it.

    Cheers for all the advice. Still no action or bubbles I can see yet. Been a week and still looks like the pic I originally posted to be honest. Being patient though and just making up another 5l now as I speak. Can too much yeast have a negative effect on your brew? Might have 'over yeasted' it.

    So what amounts would you put in per litre say. I see some people adding it at the beggining of brewing and some people using it to back sweeten it. What would you recommend as there is honey in the fridge waiting to be drank :)

    Am I doing this right

    I have been using 2 carbonation drops per 750ml and I was disapointed in the fizz. Will up it to 3 for my next batch I think. What would be a dangerous amount of carbonation drops for a 750ml? I think if these pop my gf will ban brewing for a while! ha
