Melbourne: Empty Washed Vb Stubbies **free ** To A Good Home

For pickup in Melbourne. I have 10 boxes of empty, washed VB stubbies. They were purchased from an eBay vendor when we thought handing out samples to friends and family would be a good idea. Now the problem is stopping them from drinking all our beer, we don't need these stubbies! The boxes...

Coopers Pet Bottles - 100+ Free To A Good Home

No-one? Did I mention that these Coopers PET bottles are BROWN? Most commercial beers are brown, so presenting your beer in these bottles is almost guaranteed to make your beer look more professional! In addition, these Coopers PET bottles are made of plastic - durable and yet light...

    My New Ag Gear

LOL the silver paint on our NASA burner lasted all of 10 minutes before it burnt and blocked the holes. The paint started bubbling after about 30 seconds! Sounds like the ring burners have real high temperature paint if it can get through one brew day.

    My New Ag Gear

Hi Wraith Good stuff. We have an identical KeepCold which also leaks a little. We are using the original soft rubber washers which distort under the clamping pressure and allow some water to get underneath. It is not enough to worry us but we will do as warrenlw63 suggests and get some stiffer...

    Pacman Yeast

Cool, Gwyno has lost his AHB forums cherry! Here's hoping for many a quality post to come. And Gwyno don't forget to post in the introduce yourself section. Does anyone know if this pacman yeast will be regularly available here? Gwyno told me it was a trial batch (or something). BlueJ

    G&g Fresh Worts

G&G have a new fresh wort kit called...Grain and Grape Fresh Wort Kit #2. That's a nice name. Our first brew from the G&G FWK (Fresh Wort Kit) was sucked down in no time. :chug: Our second brew is still in CC and I foresee it suffering the same fate. We used Hallertau 30/30 IIRC and the IBUs...

Honey Wheat Beer Help And How Do I/can I Use The Honey To Prime Bottle

BB we bottled ours the other day. We used about 300g of honey for about 20l of beer. We chose to blend two light coloured, aromatic honeys. It is too early to say how they will end up, but going into the bottle the honey flavour was...light and aromatic. And pretty well masked by the...

    Beer Allergies?

It's hard to say what could be causing the problem. In your friend's case the best course of action may be to drink something else... I have a severe reaction to a particular brand of wine - half a glass is enough to make me sick (full on hangover symptoms) for a day. This is premium wine too...

    G&g Fresh Worts

We started drinking ours this weekend. I have to say the results are very good for my palate. It is fruity on the nose and palate, and the hop aroma and taste are clean and match the rest of the beer pretty well. It is sort of like an Aussie lager with flavour and without the Pride of Ringwood...

Honey Wheat Beer Help And How Do I/can I Use The Honey To Prime Bottle

We put ours on yesterday. ESB 3kg Bavarian Wheat kit base made up to 20 litres and Wyeast 3333. SWMBO is demanding prominent honey flavours and aromas, and residual sweetness. Should I add some less-fermentable sugars (there is such a thing???) at the priming stage to keep some sweetness in it...

    Sources For Pots In Melbourne

Yep, I wandered down to have a look. For those Melburnians not familiar with Springvale, there are three stainless steel pot vendors (that I saw) in the area bordered by the train line in the North, Windsor Ave in the South, St Johns Ave in the West and Buckingham Ave in the East. There are...

Style Of The Week 13/9/06 - Weizen

I haven't had the Maisels but my No.1 is the Schneider Weisse Hefeweizen (but too expensive) and No.2 is the Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen and Dunkelweizen. The Aventinus is good and a bit unusual with that prominent vanilla taste. We made a Dunkelweizen from the ESB wheat fresh wort kit with the...
