Move To All Grain For Thirty Bucks

It'd be great if a mod could attach this link to the first page, the photos help so much when you're starting out. Sorry, I just realized the grave dig, my bad.

I used Craftbrewer for grain when I lived in Darwin, freight was expensive but their service is second to none. If you intend on brewing a decent beer you must get a temp controlled fridge, 35 degree days will kill any beer imo.

Ha, schooled! lol That chart is a couple of years old too, last year the S3 outsold iphones for a while so I suspect android would have an even bigger market share now.

Anyone using the new samsung S4

Here in the tropical north I have a couple of issues with water. One is the high humidity and subsequent copious amounts of sweat if you work or play outside, the other is the torrential downpours that occur during our wet :) I just use a clip-seal sandwich bag when I go riding or being...

    Stovetop All Grain

I use Brewmate to calculate my strike temps then I just take my pot off the stove and sit it on a towel on the kitchen bench, wrap an old sleeping bag around it and secure with an ocky strap. I live in the tropics so I rarely lose any temp at all ;)

    No Chill Hop Additions

Does somebody have an adjusted receipe for Dr Smurtos GA for no-chill? If I put the standard receipe into BrewMate it comes up with 51 IBU :o

    Grains In Darwin

For the cost of running your air-con for a month or two you could easily buy a fridge, temp controller and all the bits and pieces to get up and runnning. Costs bugger all to run the fridge as it's only going to be keeping temps around 18*C (good temp for red wine too ;) ).

    Grains In Darwin

Hi Sammo, I also used to do the air-con thing but it really doesnt quite cut it. If ya want to brew some decent beer you'll need to get a temp controlled fridge. I don't profess to be a guru by any means as I've only brewed 3 AG beers so far but they have all turned out great compared to...

    Grains In Darwin

I'm in Darwin, I also use Craftbrewer for grain, they've been awesome so far. It sucks having to pay as much postage as what the grain costs but it still works out cheaper than buying cartons of megaswill up here.. $55 for a carton of VB....... :o yea right
