Up and running... i upgraded the software to 2.8 version and made a couple of changes.. i changed the names of the mash steps to name that i understand.... Happy days

I been running the no name silver bullet for acouple of years.. no problems and its alot quieter then the march 809.. For $70 its great value.. I use it on both my systems just got same plug on both as im never brewing 2 batches at a time.

anyone know how to upgrade the software to 2.8 version?

In relation to connecting the solid state relays dose it matter if you connect your element to 1 or 2?

I solved my scrambling problem and I didnt even mean to.. I mounted a 12v fan on my heat sink because im running a 5.5 kw element and have not had scrambing since. So maybe give that a go cheers

Hi lads, Just wondering if anyone has used barley direct from the paddock, my uncle has silos full of malt grade barley and im wondering it I can brew with it or do I have to modify it before brewing. has any one done this before?

Yeah the claw couplings work real well.. The perforated stainless steel just sits in bottom of malt pipe as the bottoms are domed. I just welded some m10 bolts on top and acouple of lifting lugs and wingnuts.. when time comes to pull malt out I just hook it up to my 12v winch thats bolted to...
