    What's with the PC bullshit?

It was the head of ASIO who only last year stated that Refugees and Muslims are not what is creating Terrorism in Australia - what ever you do, Don't tell the Aussies the truth....

    What's with the PC bullshit?

We are so lucky in Australia that we dont have any Muslim terrorists. I was getting worried when pedestrians in Melbourne at Flinders and Elizabeth were mowed down by a suspicous looking bloke with a big beard, but it is all fine !!! He is just a lone wolf mentally deranged drug addict according...

How to get more flavour form Hops using a Kit

thanks Manticle and Dusty, I bought a hard copy of Palmers Book many years ago, so will pull that out and have a re-read. 5-10 minutes sounds good as wife and friends don't like the strong bitterness unfortunately. This unhopped Extract sounds very interesting.

How to get more flavour form Hops using a Kit

thanks PM - just one more question, what do I put in the boil - is it the LME only? iANH Spreadsheet says SG needs to be 1042 for my boil, does the LME give SG to the water ? I am going for 20 minute boil of 25g Galaxy Hops to add a bit more hops flavour but not bitterness as the Kit Can...

How to get more flavour form Hops using a Kit

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I have been experimenting with dry hopping to some basic Kit recipes as I find that it adds some great aromas to me beer. For instance adding 25g of Galaxy Hops 1 week before bottling adds a lovely Passionfruit tang. I would now like to get some more...

Wow....how much better is All Grain Brewing?

Im with verysupple. AG is more fun and gives more variety, but i struggle to taste much difference to a well brewed extract with extras.

    My New Yeast Experiment

Thanks for all of the advice - but it is unlikely I will be posting the results here or anywhere else on this forum as I am leaving. I was the victim of an unprovoked and particularly nasty personal attack by one of the users in another thread and do not see any point contributing anymore. He...

    Neighbourly Revenge!

Absolute total garbage - protecting our great country is not biggotry!!!!! you fool. Why don't you play the racist card as well ???? Out roads are already totally overcrowded in the capital cities. We don't have enough water to use, our hospitals have extraordinary long waiting lists and...

I got mine from asian grocer in Box Hill - like Manticle recommends. About $20 for a 15l pot if I remember. They had bigger Pots as well.

    Neighbourly Revenge!

It's sad that we support governments who promote policies to overcrowd our country and create all of the issues highlighted in this thread. Never had them as a kid as we lived on a 1/2 acre property (do they still exist ???). Welcome to Australia with all of these problems at 23 million, what...

    Amarillo Poll

Hey Fents, If I buy some of your Kooinda Pale Ale stubbies tonight from Slowbeer and I like them - will you give me some hints as to what type of Hops you use ??? Digger

    Amarillo Poll

I have found a beer called "Mikkeller Single Hop Amarillo IPA" at the horrific price of $10 for a 330ml stubbie. I am going to buy (only 1) tonight and might buy a Kooinda Pale Ale as well. The Rogue Yellow Snow is $15 for a 650ml so if I feel really rich I might add one of these. That's about...

    Amarillo Poll

O.K. thanks - there is a little boutiwue beer shop around the corner called Slowbeer, so I plan to drop in there and I'll ask them if they have any Amarillo hopped beers as well.

    Amarillo Poll

Manticle, have been planning too - I will buy a JS golden ale tomorrow and try it out.

    Amarillo Poll

Well that's amazing, I'd close the poll after only 90 minutes (if I knew how!) as it is clear that Amarillo is clearly a favourite for flavour and aroma, and even pretty good for bittering. These results will lead me to have another crack at using it - I might try another Dr Smurto's with...

    Amarillo Poll

From a good reading of these forums it appears that Amarillo is one of the favourite Hops. I have done 2 brews with Amarillo and poured one out and could hardly drink the other. So I'm guessing it is just me who doesn't like it ?
