Recipe was for 25 litres with OG 1.044, ended up with 26 litres at OG 1.044. Sparge OG was 1.030 so probably worth it, to get more sugar out of the grains. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon :) thanks Bjorn

on my BIAB setup hanging the bag over a bucket and giving it a gentle squeeze only, the grain bag weights 0.55 kg more per kg of grain in the bag when finished. My water loss to grain is therefore 0.55 litre x kg of grains = litres of water thanks Bjorn

Bison Brewing Organic IPA http://bisonbrew.com/product/organic-ipa-pale-ale Tight, creamy head, not as bitter as I had expected from an IPA. 6% alc, malty sweetness with a little warmth in it. Nice. Bjorn

hehe, all good fun having a go growing hops. But I really want at least a handful of hops to use late in an ale to get a feel for the hop type, you know?
