The part of Castlemaine that I live in is Winter's Flat, no more than 300 meters from the original Fitzgerald Bros brewery, now known as Castlemaine XXXX. So Winter's Flat still makes beer, but a better beer in my opinion :P Normell

The Stout I brewed upto 22Lt, to make a "Old or Black" ale style. A few others added 1Kg of light, or amber malt, & a few experimented with some Hallertau, Sazz & Amamillo Hops. (If I told you the formula's, Id have to kill you) :) :beerbang:

My last 13 brews have all been ESB fresh wort ones, 2 Amber, 3 Irish Red, 1 India Pale & 1 American Pale ales, 2 Lagers, a Bock, Octoberfest, Pilsner & a Stout. Most have been "tweaked", & all have been a vast improvment over K&K brews that I used to make. Normell

Tried a couple of all the Cascade kits, & all were good for a K&K brews. They were at the top of the list in my opinion, but are still only K&K brews afterall Normell :)

After being in a drug induced coma for 3 weeks, then on morphine for another 6 weeks, when I got out of hospital, couldn't stand the taste of beer for a few months. Had to drink sweet stuff like Beam & coke. I put it down to the morphine in the system, but could be wrong :blink: Normell
