    Anything wrong with this recipe?

Tastes like an empty glass right now. It was the perfect end to the working week and a great way to start the weekend. :beerbang: Cheers, D80

    Anything wrong with this recipe?

BIAB, No Chill, Cube Hopped ESB. Agree: Don't fear the hop!

    Anything wrong with this recipe?

Straight in for me. Never left it longer than 2 days before fermenting with cube hops, but all slop into the fermenter and have gone as long as 5 weeks with Cold Conditioning. No vege flavours detected by me. Cheers, D80

Immersion Chiller and/or Gas Burner for first BIAB

I use gas and electric at same time :) but I boil 60L so need see Powah! Plus if gas runs dry I have fall back. Or if power goes out I have gas heat. The brew goes on. If both fail I would just cry.

Immersion Chiller and/or Gas Burner for first BIAB

Gas burner in a small apartment a good idea? Do you have a balcony? Considered electric? What size pot will you be BIAB'ing in? May help others make some recommendations. Welcome to the forum, and once set up you will be kicking yourself for not starting ealier. Cheers, D80 EDIT: sorry...

    Keg King Co2 Cylinder

Pretty sure a bottle is a bottle mate. I am in Perth and actually bought a KK bottle new as it was cheaper to ship one over at the time than buy local. Now it is mixed up somewhere in the swap system over here and I have a shiny looking westway (or whatever brand one now). Who knows what I will...

Starting Again - Properly this time

YouTube mate. Watch some brew in a bag videos then come back here and have a further read. Two of you brewing screams double batch size from the start. This requires large pot and large heating capacity. All easy to sort out for not big $. Where are you based?

    Bottle bombs

Move to kegs....? If you blow the bottom out of one of them then..... WOW. Or use the PET bottles in future? Cheers, D80

    Logistics of bigger batches?

I brew doubles. I ferment in 2x 30s. I also cube the brews and no chill them. I have a fridge that can fit 2x 30s side by side. I ferment and cold crash in the same fridge. Extra time taken on brew day is heatingthe extra water to strike temp and then boil. I speed it up by using gas burner and...

    Very new to this. Thoughts.

I will go against the grain here (pardon pun) I would bitter with Cascade to 20 IBU and then a nice whack of fuggles late to edge just over 30 IBU. That is just me though. I am pro UK hops. Fuggles late is underrated IMO. Otherwise, stick all Cascade as suggested. Also i would do the...

Blackrock Nut Brown Ale - yeast mix bottom of fermentor

I don't, but I do cold crash / chill (down to about 1-2 degrees) after 14days or so for a week then keg or bottle. Cheers, D80

    Keg King Elements

I just watched the youtube video on the KK site with regard to these elements. I'm sold enough to gamble on the new ones. Look more sturdy than my OTS element now. Cheers. D80

What did you buy while pissed last night?

I just got one of them! Mine is in worse nick than that one. Going to need some work. Looks good Welly! Hope it is easier to serve the first beer with that than your existing taps! Cheers, D80

    Let talk Kegerators?

I downgraded from a Keezer to a Kegerator (due to space considerations. Forced outside now, lost man cave to this kids). Swapped out the **** font tower for a SS one, and hooked up my Perlick FCs to it. Well two of them anyway. Get one less tap than kegs capacity, that way when fridge is full...

Ross Method Of Forced Carbonation Of Kegs

Have you tried 4mm or 5mm ID line? 6mm is pretty large ID for beer line. I have 4mm on my kegmate and runs up to FC taps on the Tower. 4m line length I have, but it is not really needed with the FC taps. Could go shorter but having no problems, so don't want to mess with it. Cheers, D80
