    Northdown

One of my favourite brews I have made is a northdown brown. Not only does its name roll of the tongue nicely, it's flavour does a little dance for you as you drink it. I like this hop as well. Cheers D80

How can it be one year since the Lindt Cafe siege?

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives... Non Negotiation: Isn't that sort of what they did today where guy became a pest to negotiate with, was going nowhere. Out came his knife, attacked a hostage, the TRG went in and popped a couple of caps in him. Wonder if they...

Wanted To Borrow: Turkey Fryer Pot for Christmas Deep Fried Turkey&#33

Stux, you going to use that Italian spiral burner of yours? If so you might get a charcoal chicken from a 5kg turkey! Use your pot and deep fry a turkey, duck and a chicken. That will reduce required oil :) Neighbors may be in a frenzy though..... Cheers, D80

    first ag brew ideas

Ask wife then report back.... Don't want this all grain caper getting off on wrong foot. Once you get obsessed and she starts complaining, you can say hey you started it! Better for you if she feels included in your hobby.

Stuart, how much gear you got aside from grainfather? What limitations for ingredients, fermenting etc? I have a real easy English Bitters 4.2% @ (75% efficiency) that is drinking real nice now. Dry yeast, no chilled recipe. Easy as! PM for details if you want it. Cheers, D80

    First BIAB, low OG, Why?

The biggest factors to me achieving greater control of O/G and F/G are as follows (I was once all over the shop as well): 1) Boil off rate analysis. Which involved accurate measurement of starting volume and final volume. Now have a trusty ruler and spreadsheet and get within a bees dick each...

    I wonder who?

There is also a Youtube account: Green Brain which posted a video of Core Brewing Systems advertising their "awesomeness". There is also one comment on that vid, basically him being attacked by someone who is onto him. This made me LOL. He is obviously getting hunted down. Cheers, D80 Edit...

First AG BIAB Brew Day Results

As above, 48 hours at Cold Crash Temps would be Min. Just make sure you allow time to get down to the temps (in addition to the 48 hours). I normally do a week, but have had good results with 4 days as well. Have also done 3 weeks. Beer looks filtered! Cheers, D80
