    Christmas Lotto 2010

Australia Post have these wine bottle boxes that I've used in the past for the Christmas lotto. They work well for one long neck and would be fine for PET too. Here's some pricing: http://auspost.com.au/personal/packaging-m...ls.html#special The cost of posting it will cost more than the...

    Cashews And Bacon

At Bitter & Twisted 2009 the Hunter Beer Company had this offering called "Liquid Bacon". It certainly lived up to its name. No idea of the style or a recipe though sorry.

Drilling Holes In My Keg Fridge

How many kegs are you hoping to fit in there? I recently made my kegerator and my initial intention was the have the gas and regulator outside of the fridge (similar size to yours) but found that I could fit three kegs and the gas bottle inside. This meant that I didn't have to risk drilling a...

    Stepless Clamps

OK, I've been trying to avoid posting dumb beginner questions since I first joined AHB so I'm going out on a limb here. I bought some gear from Craftbrewer this week so that I could get my second tap hooked up in my keg fridge. One of the purchases I made was to get a few hose clamps and...

    Buggered It Up

OK, I should probably also try and help. 40 psi seems pretty high as a pouring pressure, even 20 psi is too much I reckon. I generally use ~8 psi for pouring. Are you sure it's not 40 kPa you've got it set at?

RecipeDB - Cracka Fat Pale Ale

Citra is definitely on my to-do list. As a big fan of APAs it sounds like it's right up my alley. I think it's a good idea to use a new hop on its own at first, like you have LRG, to really work out the taste and aromatic characteristics. I foresee an all-Citra APA on tap at my place pretty...

RecipeDB - Cracka Fat Pale Ale

Yeah, I just racked my first attempt at a Fat Yak clone last night. I made up the recipe myself and put in plenty of Nelson Sauvin thinking that the Cascade would overpower it. WRONG. Massive NS aroma coming from that brew. Don't get me wrong, I like Nelson Sauvin but next time I will...

    Gassing A Keg

Yeah, the CO2 bottle was definitely the most expensive part of my setup (that includes the fridge). BUT, it's all a one-off cost. Once you've accumulated the gear you need then you're all set. I sure don't miss bottling.......

    Gassing A Keg

I've just gotten into kegging as well and have found that everyone I talk to has a different method of gassing their kegs. I over-carbed my first keg because I was too keen to test the system out. Check out this page, this bloke has a method that seems to be a compromise of the methods...
