    How do Beerbelly bulkheads seal?

These are low pressure sealing applications, it's not rocket science. If it leaks use thread tape. If it seals you still should have used thread tape. You'll pull it apart and use thread tape when it starts leaking with a double batch of your award winning beer. More thought needs to be...

Cheap Ebay 10L urn Herms result.

I managed to wrangle a birko for $85 + postage. Just happens the listing was wrong and it's a 20L. Bargain.... or is it? I'll probably put more copper coil in the loop to ramp quicker. Ah brew gear always more money.

Cheap Ebay 10L urn Herms result.

Howdy, Had a crack at the cheapie pictured below for my herms set-up. Circles E-bay for ~ $80. Lasted about 9 months and 20 brews before the element tripped the breaker. Urn internals not the best. Probably not worth the repair effort. My advice you get what you pay for :D.

    WTB Corny Kegs Brisbane

It's pretty simple for me looks like my suppliers over getting the poor quality kegs in and that means I'm not going to get them which means my cutomers are not. I just had one fail spectacularly and it's coming out of my profit so I suspect I'll move to new Chinese one's. That said there's...

    Why Re-culturing Coopers Commercial Yeast?

My friends are reporting far better and closer clones form WLP 009 than the cultured yeast from the bottle. http://www.whitelabs.com/yeast/wlp009-australian-ale-yeast On the coopers tour the lad said he's pretty confident it's very close if not the coopers strain.

How deep is too deep for a pot?

As long as it's wide enough I'd have no problem, mines a 98L 50cm x 50cm and have no issues.

temp probe outside or in fermenter?

I must be the only one that just throws the probe under the glad wrap and seal and lets it float around in the middle of the fermenter.

    Should I Stir?

Relax, let it be. Bottle it when you have had the same consecutive sg reading over a few days. Reading should stabilise around 1.016 - 1.012 or there about's depending on yeast used and other factors.
