    Wanting To Buy Kegs.

Roughly need 200g including waste to force carb a 19L keg. 2.6kg CO2 bottle should be good for 10 kegs and serving. Swap n go makes life simple. There are also the Diemen's kegs (450g?) but not sure if they are easily refillable.

    Beerline Wrong Size.

Tried that stiff beer line once, rather annoying to put on barbs... boiling water and pliers..pffft. Using the PVC (I think) beverage line ever since, slips on and off barbs without much effort and doesn't even need a crimp for normal serving pressures. I get perfect pour on my Perlicks with...

Help With First All Grain Biab

You will only know your efficiencies after your maiden brew... measure preboil SG and volume, postboil volume, volume into fermenter. So use the same grain bill as your starting point. If SG is lower than expected or desired use more grain. I start with around 30L and end up with approx 22L...

    Strange "break" Material In Fermenter

No chill, ferment, all in the same container... don't worry about cold break and hop debris.. it will settle if you cold condition after fermentation. Try some whirlfloc (15min before end of boil) to help coagulate it all at whirlpool.

    Arduino Kegerator

I hear ya, and employ the KISS principle 99% of the time (I'm still doing 1v BIAB, single infusion, hoisting bag by hand!). I enjoy playing with the Arduino, merely to keep my brain active and have fun.

    Arduino Kegerator

I've been playing with these flow sensors lately http://www.futurlec.com.au/Flow_Sensor.jsp Cheap, decent accuracy, stainless turbine... and made of Acetal Copolymer which is food grade-ish. Could be used for beer lines on a keg, but I plan to use it for measuring volume into my BIAB pot...

    Breaking Bad

"Jessie... jessie..." Great show, not sure how they'll fill out a final 16 episodes though! SOA will be good , Walking Dead.... plus another series (or 2) of Dexter. Since I'm not travelling overseas anymore I really struggle to find time to watch much at all.

Fresh Wort Starter Vs Dme Starter

If the smack pack is fresh (<1 month old) you could just pitch it directly... smack it first and confirm the yeast is viable (pack with inflate). I've done this a few times with good results. I've also used year old packs int a 1L starter and brewed some great ales. So.. ideal world follow...
