    How Many Kegs Is Enough?

I have 9 kegs but i've never had any more than 6 in use at one time. I guess it depends alot on how many taps you have, how often you brew and most important, how much you drink ! :)

    Amarcord

I've had the redhead, it was a nice beer, nothing special though and deffinatley not worth what i paid, i think it was at least $8 from memory. Although im still glad i bought it otherwise id still be wondering what i missed out on. :)

    A Beer Accompaniment

"Blairs 16million reserve" thats a bit over $600 aussie dollars for 1ml of pure capsicum crystals. I dont think that stuff would be edible, you could play some dangerous (and expensive) jokes on people though. I currently have 1kg of prime lean beef in the food dehydrator. I find that if i put...

    A Beer Accompaniment

Got the seeds last year from a chilli shop on ebay. I just did a search and they still sell them, along with a variety of habanero's which are another favourite of mine. Heres the link I bought a food dehydrator for my xmas present and made some habanero kangaroo jerky.... blew my head off...

    A Beer Accompaniment

I love chilli's i grow heaps of different kinds at home, chilli "hotness" is rated in "Scoville units". A Jalapeno has a maximum of 10,000 Scoville units, and in my opinion are not hot for sh*t. I grow a variety called Naga Jolokia from North eastern india, they are rated a bit over...

    A Beer Accompaniment

I love beef jerky and biltong but its pretty expensive at $3 for a little packet, making your own is a great idea providing it can be done in a safe way. Im about to go and buy a food dehydrator after reading this! So i just need to get this straight, if i dehydrate the meat at 55*C for 12...

Kit Beer Bos At The Nationals

Heres what i reckon we should do! And im pretty sure this is already how a lot of comps work. Call it a "Homebrewing Competition" cause thats what it is, beer brewed at home! - Have a catagory of the comp for AG brewed beer only. - A catagory for extract and partial mashers. - And another...

    Grain Mills

A couple of quick questions on the marga mill.... Can you attach a drill to these marga mills? or are they hand cranked? How big is the hopper on them?

    Simcoe

I have used this hop a few times, it went well as a bittering hop in a pilsner i did and an APA. But it absolutely ruined a saison, for some reason the spicey flavours the saison yeast imparts clashed with the piney bitterness of simcoe to leave an unpleasent bitter taste that lingers far too...

What Do You Reckon Of This Recipe?

Yeh i actually thought 250gm (5.3%) of light munich may go well but then decided i didnt want any sweetness it may contribute. But in such small amounts it may be ok i suppose. Hallertau goes REALLY well with cascade, i brewed an amber ale recently with this combination and thats what has made...

What Do You Reckon Of This Recipe?

Tell me if you think im on the right track with this recipe.... I want this beer to be crystal clear, light in colour and body, full hoppy aroma and flavour, crisp and refreshing, not too bitter, but bitter enough to nicely complement a bowl of chilli nuts or corn chips with salsa dip. I want...
