    1 carbonation drop v's 2 for 750ml bottles

No experience on the matter, but you could try the priming sugar spoons. They usually have a 500ml and 750ml scoop. Cost is under $5 usually. I have one handed for when I run out of carb drops.

    Cozzie pale ale

For steeping your grain aim for 70 degrees. Two parts boiling, 1 part tap water cold should hit the mark. 2 litres is a good amount to steep grain in. I pour my boil into the FV through a strainer to collect the hop matter. I like to dry hop a bit later, 5 days out from bottling. People...

    Filtering

The short answer for why the LHBS has made the suggestion to delay adding the hops is to that some of the aroma can be lost if fermentation is still going. Also some hops like Galaxy have a reputation of leaving a grassy character in the beer if dry hopped to long. Definitely agree with the...

    Pale Ale Recipe

Hey guys, I've not edited the post. Was just listing all the ingredients I've got on hand from leftover batches. Not what I was intending on using in the recipe. Wanting to clear out the old stock before buying more. Only reason I had the dex in the recipe was to bring the alcohol up a little...

    steeping some grains

Pretty much. It will improve head retention, body and add flavor depending on the type of Crystal. Have a read of this. http://byo.com/hops/item/520-crystal-malt-homebrew-science

    steeping some grains

I made this up a couple of months ago and it was really tasty. You can swap the crstyal around along with the kit can and even the hops with any of the C hops. Can even swap the liquid malt for a kilo of dry and swap 500g - 1.5kg for some Amber if you want something darker. You can increase the...

    Beer is going flat

May not be the most elegant method, but a soda stream maker can get bubbles in your immediately :) May have done this once with a litre leftover from kegging [emoji57]

    Coopers apa cloudy

Also add some gelatin, should be a thread on how to do it in the general brewing section and wait til the weekend. I tend to give my beer 2 weeks in the fermenter. This gives the yeast some time to clean up after itself.

    Recipe Advice - Amber Ale

    Coopers + hops recipe?

I think you misread what I wrote. I wasn't suggesting boiling the hops for 30min, but to steep them in water that had been boiled for 30min. First did this when doing coopers fruit salad ale. I tend to do 15min boils now with a kit can or a full extract boil. But the hop tea gets done when I'm...

    Coopers + hops recipe?

Next top try a hop tea. Boil 3 litres of water and add your hops to the water, cover and leave to stand for 30mins. Then strain into your fermenter. With getting your gravity up for a boil, add 100g of dry malt for every litre.

What temperature did you ferment at? How long has it been in the keg for? Also, what type of kit was the yeast from?
