Is there a separate thread for the Brewers Day event? To say I am excited about it would be a touch of an understatement. This must be the biggest beer event Brisbane has seen since the RNA Beer Festivals yeah? Got my tickets to both the Platform Bar and Archive events!

As far as I know everything is OK up there... it's a huge operation, and I reckon the profits they make in the cheese outlet would keep the brewery afloat anyway :lol: I sure as hell hope they stay open... with Eagle Heights out of business, my little operation would be screwed it MT closed...

When I was in Perth last year I joined the Beer Nuts tour of Swan Valley. Also excellent, and great value for money :) Our friendly guide ran the tour even though it was just me and my partner who booked that day... great service :)

Sad news... Eagle Heights Brewery has closed :( A Thai Restaurant is moving into the premises.

I dropped in last Saturday on another tour and the Bulletproof is now on tap. Once again Eagle Heights was the favourite brewery of the day. Sadly it seems to be getting very touch-and-go with being open. Brett behind the bar seemed cautiously optimistic but non-commital that they will be open...

Better than my alma mater, the Sunshine Coast uni - never had a bar, and no plans to get one. Maybe that's why I passed my degree without failing a subject...

Wow, that's really interesting! I never would have thought somewhere like that would have such a good selection. Definitely something to keep in mind when I'm next out that way! It certainly makes the prospect of doing my postgrad out there much more appealing :P Whoever is running the place...

I missed out on the Zeitgeist!! So annoyed... it dissappeared pretty quickly! Had the 77 Lager instead - it was OK, nothing spectacular. The SC ESB is much better, so I had another couple of those instead :P
