I run this exact model and it works a treat. I use a seperate relay though to swith the fridge, hopefuly this will give me a few more hours out of it as you cannot be assured of the quality of the internal contacts on the relay, and how long till they burn out from switching the fridge on and...

    Show Us Your Manifold!

Hey Blackapple... I reckon I have the same Mash Tun as you as I recognize the bit that sticks out where the outlet pipe is there. How do you find the Temp guage sticking in that far? I would be scared of hitting it when I was mashing in with my mash paddle? I was thinking of getting the same...

    Stainless V Brass

Thats a worry.... If that is the case does anyone have a good supplier of stainless products from the interwebs? Or are G&G's prices pretty competitive? Sorry to sound like a bit of a tight wad, but the problem with me is I have other hobbies that take away funds from my beer.

So I guess when you look at it all of our home plumbing fittings are Brass and we drink that water everyday, both on the hot and cold water side...? So for the the HLT side of the system Brass would be OK. But over on the Kettle side, maybe the extra money for Stainless for peace of mind would...

    Stainless V Brass

Hello all, I am on a pretty tight budget for my AG brewery and to save money I can see that I can get brass fittings allot cheaper that I can Stainless. What I was wondering is that you do see all the breweries of the world using stainless, so there must be a reason for this. But as a home...

    To Tig Or To Mig?

Hello, Being a bit of a handy man and loving just giving things a go, I was wanting to expand my All Grain kit and weld some valves and things to my boiler and make a mash tun and HLT out of old Kegs. Also I would like to make a stand for all my gear out of angle or box steel. I have Arc...

    Re-culturing Coopers Commercial Yeast

I think too that having the lid on the Coke bottle wouldn't of helped. Just cover with some al foil and make sure that you give it a swish around as often as you can. Let that yeast breathe man... I just used 3 stubbies of Cooper's Pale Ale, beer off the top, swish the yeast, poured into a 500ml...

    Heating In Your Brew Fridge

Hi, I have been running my fermentation fridge for around a year now and my beers have improved so much. I just sit the fermenter on a heatpad hooked up to the heating side of my thermostat. With the probe firmly bluetacked to the side of the fermenter. With the moisture I usualy clean that...
