    Awesome BIAB Mash Tun Jacket

That looks pretty good Yummy.. I will post pics when I do mine. As my mash tun is a Keggle with the irregular shaped sides, I will be more following the Instructable method, and then slicing down both sides. I believe this will give a snugger fit around the Keggle. I do like the idea of...

    Pimp My TapKing

I've been filling these direct from the fermenter for a while now. I just add 8 carb drops to each one and let it carb naturally. These things are perfect. I get 1 corney keg and 1 TK keg from each batch. I do a lot of camping so taking a couple of these does the trick for a weekend.

The story of my first AG Brew (Full disclosure - honest truth)

Here's a link to my first experience :) http://aussiehomebrewer.com/topic/52715-first-biab/ Like you, I think I got most of my mistakes out of the road on my first attempt. It was also one of my very best beers ever.

Using 8g CO2 soda bulbs in your Tap King

Brewa, try catering stores or kitchen supply stores. Also, if you do Beerisyummy's mod (on page 3 of this thread, i think), to remove the tabs, you can bottle without having the canisters, as you can just slide them in after the beer is bottled and sealed

Gravity filtering from fermenter. A neat trick.

Before u used gas was the lid sealed? If so thats ur problem. You create unequal air pressure at top and a semi vaccume like using gas is basicly overriding gravity and making it a pressure filter. No, I had taken the airlock out of the fermenter initially. I only put it back in to give...

Gravity filtering from fermenter. A neat trick.

Gravity filtering is well covered on ahb if you want to have a looknand see if anyome else has similar issues. one think that strikes me is that u say the system is well sealed. You are unsealing the top fermenter when trying to filter arent u? Otherwise u create a vacumme in the top fermenter...

CheekyPeak Brewery 6.8kg CO2 bottle (Brew Mate)

I think quality home brew at slacks creek fills them. Says $45 for 6.8kg on their website. http://www.qualityhomebrew.com.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13&zenid=jorpt0j1vjss4e088rmtq9one1 Good find. Looks like its worth the drive from northside, to save $20 or so, especially if you have...

Gravity filtering from fermenter. A neat trick.

I'm pretty sure the bubbles are co2. The system is well sealed, and I fully bled the filter before attaching it to the keg. It's only been 10 days since I kicked off the ferment and there was still plenty of suspended yeast in the brew (and co2) I had to keg it today, (probably too early) as...

Gravity filtering from fermenter. A neat trick.

Yeah, I don't understand why it keeps getting stuck. Its a 1micron absolute filter, and I think there is lots of dissolved CO2 in there, the lines end up with a lot of bubbles which don't like to flow downhill. I'm not using a hop bag, but there doesnt seem to be much hop residue, maybe 5%...

Gravity filtering from fermenter. A neat trick.

I was having problems filtering directly from the fermenter with the flow getting stuck with only half the brew filtered. Bubbles, bits of hop, everything just wanted to stop it flowing. I now see the advantages of filtering keg to keg. Bit of co2 to push it through and it works a dream...

CheekyPeak Brewery 6.8kg CO2 bottle (Brew Mate)

Im ordering one this week. Dont buy on ebay if your in vic. Buy on their website $15 delivery. Yep, order directly from them. I have one I got off ebay from them, before I knew they had their own site. (I think mine is 6kg). But they are great to deal with and really helpful. (Also the...
