Well this will officially be my worst noob question but i read posts talking about it all over the place, even dedicated threads to it, but can't work out for the life of me exactly what it entails. Can someone enlighten me please? :chug:

Well, you don't chill the wort down after boiling it for extract or all grain beers. It's against the standard practice and will lead to botulism. :p

Oh, and I think it's great (and so do the dam levels).

so what does it mean when people talk about no chill cubes and whether they can nochill inside the fermenter? i wasnt sure whether it was a chemical or something

When you finish the boil, you can drain the wort into a cube or into the fermenter to cool down. I guess you know what a fermenter is ;) and this is a cube.
