I would say that you are right on the money with that recipe. I would probably (myself) bump up the gravity a few points, but I think that will net you a beer that your old man is very happy to drink. I'd be tempted to use carafa instead of roast barley, but the roast may dry it out nicely in the end. Best of luck, let us know how it turns out.
