Just want to say thanks to ND brewing for taking on the fresh wort kits from ESB. Due to unforeseen circumstances I havent been able to do an AG for a couple of months. Ive been doing their fresh wort kits...and I have to say they are bloody lovely. 5 minutes to make, 6 days primary, drinking on day 7 from the keg. Ive done the Amarillo Ale, Stout and Summer Ale.....so, yeah thanks guys, youve saved me from a beer drought.
Cheers

I agree with you there Steve,
Gerard at NDbrewing has done an excellent job

I'm with you Fella's. gerard and the team do great beers and always helpfull as well. I can't wait to start my BIAB'ing and will definitely be getting my grain from Gerard.
Although I think Gerard likes to forget me, still waiting for my Choc Porter, or maybe you took it to the wrong house again :p .

The amarillo is indeed a great drop, I will be trying others in the range as soon as I can.
Good stuff

As Patrick Swayze would say 'Ditto'.

The Amarillo is pretty damn fine. Currently doing the Aussie Pale Ale and Celtic Red Ale. I hear that a Bock is coming out in a week or two. Any truth to that one?

There is a real problem in that I can't really claim credit for my beer. Well, i do but i shouldn't :p

Thanks for the feedback guys.

We have done 3,500 casks so far. The Amarillo & NorWest Pale are very popular, & the Porter & Double Choc Stout have been going crazy this past month. Our Bock will be ready towards the beginning of June.

For more info on the Brewers Selection range & the Home Brew Shops that stock them, check out our website www.ndbrewing.com.au

have a norwest in primary at the moment its on its 5th day , fermentation is starting to slow up to a halt now ... will rack to secondary on sunday...
when i picked this one up from the HBS they had a few double chocolate stout cubes there and they were still warm so there can be no doubting the freshness of the product ....and the fact that the no chill method is used in the process.....

Gerard,

Any chance of listing the approximate IBUs for these babies? It would be nice to know. I've PM'd you a couple of times, and also emailed, but you never respond. Maybe you are too busy making the things...

If you don't want to reveal this sensitive info, that's fine, but just say so!

cheers, BB

Between 0 - 50IBU's :D

But apart from the kits, Gerard also deserves a big rap for his standard of service provided. Timely delivery (within a few hours either side :p ) but delivered to the door and always ready to answer a few questions I throw at him. I never knew that about Iodophor.....

Thanks for the service Gerard :beerbang:

Cheers.

BB - Without giving away all of our secrets, the easiest way to put it would be that they are hopped to a level that is within the guidelines of that particular style!
The Trad Bitter & IPA could do with some dry hops in the fermentor, but it is up to the individual to decide what they do or do not like when it comes to these sort of additions.

Cheers

Gerard,

Your site has been blocked by my work's proxy due to "Adult content".
Whose list did you end up on and why?

Maybe it has something to do with the model he has used on the ND Brewing homepage

Could you repost that pic here, Duff? I've just sent a ticket to our propeller-heads to unblock the site, and don't want to be embarassed. Or are you just having a lend and the "model" of which you speak is the glorious form of Gerard himself.

No kiddy should see that!! :p

What really peeves me about this, is that the workplace employs no minors. Why am I and my adult colleagues in need of protecting from "adult content" be it bikini clad females or Gerard's beer belly? Stupid public service!

Stupid public service!

A mate of mine works for the Government in Canberra and I've had emails knocked back because they have had the word "bugger" in them! Its regulation gone mad!

Woo Hoo, it works now. A Network propeller-head has unblocked the site. Apparently our web cleansing software determined for itself that the site was "Adult" in nature. Wise wise web cleanser
