Just came across this on the Sydney Morning Herald website.

Exerpt:

Don't know if you saw it but there was a long thread on this issue around somewhere...

I think it should be a parity with the wine industry myself, almost more so as people will quite happily stump up larger amounts for "boutique" wine but try getting many to do the same with beer...

Besides, if removing this means more new beers all the better I say!

Have to say that it seems strange that the light and mid strength products supposedly need more product growth when XXXX Gold is apparently the biggest selling beer in QLD...
