I just realised I have smacked the wrong WYEAST pack for tomorrows ferment.
Ive made an english strong ale and smacked the Heffe Yeast by mistake.
Can I just pop this baby back in the fridge for a couple of days till Im ready to brew the Heffe?

Please help... I am flailing about like a napalmed spastic! :(

Yeah no worries SB. Yeast will be fine. Just pull it out when ready to brew.

No problem, throw it in the fridge. I've left my smack packs fully swelled for up to 3 days before pitching them into a starter with no issues. To be on the safe side, pitch it into a 500-800ml starter the day before you actually plan to use the hefe yeast.

LOL must be the time for it, I did exactly the same thing two weeks ago, smacked the Belgian instead of the Scottish! Oh well, just had to brew the belgian much earlier than planned! Scottish is Sundays task now
