Hi,
I have been brewing for about 1-2 months now and after a few extract/fresh wort I want to delve into BIAB. Before I look into buying a urn or something of similar size I have been thinking of doing some 10L batches of counter-top brewing. I have made a couple of fermenters from some old 17L cubes and I am ready to try this.

My plan is to make an extremely simple czech pils lager. Will something like this be easy to do?

New Recipe (Czech Pilsner (Pils))

Original Gravity (OG): 1.054 (°P): 13.3
Final Gravity (FG): 1.014 (°P): 3.6
Alcohol (ABV): 5.31 %
Colour (SRM): 3.6 (EBC): 7.1
Bitterness (IBU): 37.1 (Average)

100% Pilsner (2.5 kg)

3 g/L Saaz (3.5% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil)
2 g/L Saaz (3.5% Alpha) @ 20 Minutes (Boil)

Single step Infusion at 66°C for 60 Minutes. Boil for 90 Minutes

Fermented at 12°C with Wyeast 2278 - Czech Pils

If you have wheat, about 2.5% would nice.

Also Don't forget your diacetyl rests with that yeast.

I brewed a pils with it last year and brewed down to 1.020 @10 degrees. Then raised 1 degree every 12hrrs up to 20 and back down to 10 at same rate. And still got diacetyl.. Fm!!

Put another one down before Xmas and partly cause I cbf with the diacetyl routine and also because I would be away I did a set and forget @15. Racked it yesterday and fm - not a hint of diacetyl. Go figure...

Tough beer to nail as your first BIAB. Good luck with it.
